LEDBURY County Councillor, Liz Harvey has expressed concerns that a recent Herefordshire Council decision to look into building a southern link road, to the west of Hereford, could be bad news for people wanting to see a "Ledbury Link" or eastern river crossing built instead.

In a report to the Ledbury Council, concerning the decision, Cllr Harvey said: "What this means is that the solution of choice for business, the city council and a significant number of councillors - that of a Ledbury Link or eastern river crossing, to connect the employment zones to the west of the river with the A436 and the east of the county, continues to languish."

The southern link road, if built would, by contrast, create better access from Hereford to Ross and Abergavenny.
