IF LEDBURY people think they have ringing in the ears they won't be wrong, and it will all be down to a rousing community celebration of the Queen's official birthday.
The bell-ringing team at St Michael and All Angels Church will attempt a tricky "Peal of Grandsire Triples" on Saturday, June 18, and if all goes to plan, they will be ringing for three hours.
Anne Toussaint, secretary of the Ledbury bell ringers said: "We would like to let the public know why the ringing is taking place. The bells will ring continuously for approximately three hours, to celebrate the 90th birthday of HM Queen Elizabeth ll.
"The majority of the band will be Ledbury District ringers, with the addition of one or two guests."
