GLOUCESTERSHIRE police are appealing for information about a hit and run incident in Newent earlier this month.
The incident happened in Cleeve Mill Lane, near to the bridge under the B4215, at around 1.50pm on Wednesday May 11.
A police spokesman said: "The driver of a red Peugeot 406 was checking his vehicle for possible defects at the side of the road when an oncoming lime green vehicle, similar to a Vauxhall Corsa or Nissan Micra, struck the man, causing him to fall across the bonnet of the oncoming car. The driver then failed to stop."
The police spokesman added: "Fortunately the injured man only suffered bruising and is making a recovery."
Anyone who has information on the incident or can identify the vehicle involved should call 101 and quote incident 269 of May 11.
