YOUNGSTERS at Busy Bees Pre-School have been finding out how patience can be fun, by waiting for eggs to hatch.
Last week, the children took delivery of ten eggs, which they placed in an incubator.
Busy Bees manager, Emma Davis said: "The children have been waiting patiently for their new visitors.
"The chick uses it's 'egg tooth' to break through the shell of the egg and once hatched, the egg tooth falls off as it is no longer needed."
The latest news is that a total of eight of the ten eggs have now hatched, much to the delight of the children.
Miss Davis said: "After twenty four hours, the chicks can be moved to the brooder box which has a light bulb in to keep the chicks warm. We'll be feeding them twice a day and ensuring they have clean water and a change of bedding daily."
At the end of this, week, if all goes to plan, the chicks will be going to live at their new home, Newbridge Farm Park at Aylton.
