BURLY players at Ledbury Rugby Club are in tears this week, because they are all really missing Bo the Bear, their mascot, who has mysteriously disappeared.

Has he been stolen? Has he been kidnapped? Who can say?

But the players will need him for a good luck cuddle, during their imminent tour to Antwerp.

In fact, the cannot "bear" to be without him, especially on a trip overseas.

Clubhouse manager, Gini Chapman said: "Bo first appeared at the club last year when he joined their tour to Amsterdam.

"He has been on show at the club ever since in a glass display cupboard until about two months ago when he was moved to the kit room."

A short while ago, Bo vanished from the kit room, which is no easy feat if you are a big friendly bear; and he hasn't been heard of since.

The players are due to go on their tour on Friday April 29, all the way to Antwerp, and they really want their bear back beforehand.

It wouldn't be the same without him.

Posters have appeared everywhere in the clubhouse with his picture and the heartfelt words “Missing– Have you seen Bo the bear? Reward for information. Please contact the tour committee if you have seen Bo.”
