A PUBLIC exhibition on the town plan in Ledbury attracted considerable public interest last week.
The town plan will be a cornerstone of future planning and development in Ledbury, alongside the neighbourhood plan and Herefordshire Council's core strategy document.
The town plan will help to shape local policy over the next few decades in areas including healthcare, education provision, youth provision, tourism, transport, the local economy and conservation.
The consultation event, in the town council offices on January 29 and January 30, attracted 250 people.
Liz Harvey, chairman of the town plan group said: "We received many compliments and positive comments regarding the work of the group and the actions and objectives coming out of all the public consultation that has been undertaken.
"Ledbury residents are hugely interested in the town and its future and appreciate every opportunity they are given to contribute to the debate."
The comments and feed-back will not be collated into the final draft of the plan, "to produce a pdf file for downloading from the town plan website."
