A NEW term brings a new head boy and girl for the John Masefield High School in Ledbury.

They are sixth formers, Alex Haigh and Beth Hiley, and in a joint statement they have outlined their vision for the year ahead.

They said: "This year we really want to raise the profile and pride in our Sixth Form by using student feedback and integrating the Sixth Form as much as possible within the lower school and wider Ledbury community.

"Some of our ideas include strengthening the student voice within the Sixth Form and facilitating groups of all ages which are led by sixth formers to take work and performances into Ledbury and the surrounding areas."

They added: "We are extremely excited and proud to take on these roles as we really want to encourage students to get involved and to share our hugely positive experiences of the John Masefield High School and its Sixth Form with as many people as possible."
