THE Chill Out Zone youth cafe in Newent is opening its doors to a clientele of all ages, on one morning every week.
The Broad Street venue, which is operated by Newent Initiative, will be open as a community cafe every Wednesday, from 10am to 12 noon.
A grand launch took place earlier this month.
A project spokesman said: "This new venture is headed up at present by Margaret Highton, who is also Chairman of the Newent Initiative, and it offers tea, coffee and biscuits for the people of Newent who wish to stop for a short rest in comfort.
"The cafe also offers a pool table and free computer wi-fi, but the facilities will increase in time. We hope the cafe will provide a nice comfortable meeting place and we will be improving facilities as funds allow."
The cafe is there for all Newent residents to use, as well as the elderly and vulnerable members of the community.
