YOUNGSTERS at the John Masefield High School have ended the term a high note, after earning certificates and books.
The year 7 students took part in an end of year celebration event, after successfully boosting their literary skills.
A school spokesman said: "The results have been outstanding. The progress made by these students has been excellent and their hard work was celebrated with their parents, class teachers, the Head teacher and school Governors.
"Each student received a personalised award plus a selection of books from popular children’s authors Roald Dahl and Michael Morpurgo. The students are very proud of their achievements, as are their parents and staff at John Masefield."
