LOCAL author Nicholas Dykes will be signing copies of his poetry collection, Shire Child, on the first Saturday of the Ledbury Poetry Festival.
The local countryside, which is has known from birth, is a strong theme in his collection.
The signing will take place in Ledbury Books and Maps in the High Street on Saturday, July 4, from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
Mr Dykes, aged 73, lives in Wellington Heath, near Ledbury, but was born at Bosbury.
His father was a Ledbury-based solicitor.
Besides poetry, Mr Dykes has written philosophical essays, screenplays, a book on politics and three novels, including "Old Nick's Guide to Happiness: A Philosophical Novel", which is available on Amazon.
