PLANING for this year's Ledbury August Bank Holiday Carnival is gathering pace, and the theme will be, "A step back in time".
Carnival committee spokesperson, Hilary Jones said: "Two local bands - Nice and Sleazy and Frontrunner have been confirmed as the musical entertainment on the main stage. Mirage belly dance troupe and the St Andrew's Pipe Marching Band will be performing and taking part in the procession.
"There will be plenty of other attractions to keep all the family happy with the usual amusement rides, funfair, and of course the main procession which will include decorated floats and walking groups."
She added: Our fingers and toes crossed for fine weather this year. Proceeds from the carnival collection was down last year due to the inclement weather. We rely on these donations to help put on the carnival for the following year which then enables the organising committee to stage a fun day out for all the town and visitors alike."
Many charities raise funds for their own organisations by having a stall at the carnival.
