BUS users across the county are being urged to have their say on how reductions to the service has affected them.

People of Worcestershire are invited to express their views on how the reductions in bus subsidies has affected them since they came into affect in September last year.

Worcestershire County Councillor Pollock, chairman of the Economy, Environment and Communities Overview and Scrutiny Panel, said: "We are interested in whether any issues or concerns have been raised by residents since the revised network has bedded down and have asked councillors for feedback in their area.

"The Youth Cabinet, vulnerable groups and post-16 educational establishments have also been asked if they have any particular issues or concerns."

County councillors are set to meet to discuss the affects on reduced bus routes across the county. After initial discussions, it was agreed by the authority that public transport services should be maintained to ensure access to schools, work opportunities, healthcare and shopping facilities.

In June, the county council's cabinet agreed to the revised network of services receiving subsidies. Reducing bus routes saved the council £1.6million.

The meeting is set to go ahead on Wednesday, May 20, from 10am at County Hall, in Worcester.
