A NEW venue near Bromyard provided the perfect setting for a weather report on Friday.

Ralph Court Gardens in Edwyn Ralph provided a green backdrop for BBC Midlands Today's 6.30pm weather forecast, where Beccy Wood told the region what was in store for the weekend.

Stephen Morgan, owner of Ralph Court Gardens, which opened to the public recently, said: "The forecast went very well. The coverage was great and Beccy said she was 'blown away' with the gardens and loved the themes. She said she will be bringing her mother to visit in the next few weeks.

"I believe it is rare for the BBC to use outside broadcasts for the weather so we are particularly proud that Midlands Today selected our venue.

"It was fascinating watching the programme production and we all were extremely impressed with Beccy's and her teams skill and professional approach."

The garden features a host of water features and statues along with a tea room.
