SPRING is here and the Dymock Festival is just around the corner, with tickets now on sale for the family friendly music event.

It will be the third year in a row for the festival, which usually attracts crowds estimated at over 1000 strong.

Festival spokesperson, Gemma Evans said: "We can guarantee some of the excellent names that have already appeared on the bill, such as Gentlemen of Few, alongside some great new acts to get everybody excited, including The Electric Swing Circus. The 2015 line up is looking to be a cracker!"

She added: "The festival organisers have also ensured that the local talent get to perform on the day."

Jeremy Downham, Chairman of the Dymock Festival Committee added: “The festival has always involved the local people on all levels and there is a lot of great musicians in the area. In 2014 we won the Gloucester Rural Communities ‘Village of the Year’ based on the success of the festival in previous years; supporting regional performers of all age groups, from twelve to 90."

As usual, The Dymock Cricket Club is home to the day’s revelry on Sunday May 24, during the Bank Holiday weekend with doors opening at noon.

Mr Downham said:"The Cricket Club itself will also be celebrating its 150th anniversary at the same time so expect a great party atmosphere from all involved.

"If you’ve got bags of energy you might want to enter the Dymock Half Marathon, which precedes the festival in the morning, or perhaps you’d just prefer to simply turn up, sit back and enjoy this fab day of music and entertainment right on your doorstep."
