A MAN pointed a gun at members of the public from the window of a Worcestershire property.

But the 40-year-old male turned out to only be wielding an imitation firearm during the incident near Stourbridge Road in Kidderminster on Thursday (April 9) at 8.25pm

The offender was arrested by police on suspicion of possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, as well as possessing class B drugs.

He was being questioned in custody at the time of going to press.

A second incident took place in the Dines Green area of Worcester on the same day.

Police raided a house believed to contain firearms at 8.40pm but the search proved fruitless.

A third incident, which police described as “not major”, took place on Thursday (April 9) just outside the Worcestershire boundary.

It happened in Warwickshire at 7pm.

These details have emerged after officers from West Mercia Police’s operations patrol unit tweeted at 1.28am this morning (Friday, April 9): “Busy evening for us. Three spontaneous firearms incidents resolved without injury.”
