THE SCOTTISH poet, John Burnside will be poet in residence during this year's Ledbury Poetry Festival.
He will give workshops, give a reading and also talk about his favourite ‘desert island poems’.
In 2012, his collection Black Cat Bone won both the T. S. Eliot Prize and Forward Prize.
This year's festival, which runs from July 3 to July 13, will also feature Simon Armitage and Pam Ayres.
The former Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams will appear in conversation with Marina Warner on the subject of 'Poetry and Belief'.
