IT was a scorcher of a bank holiday weekend with sunglasses, shorts and even sun cream making an appearance across Worcestershire.

Temperatures soared to a glorious 17C today (Easter Monday), bringing day-off joy to thousands across the county.

People were out in force in gardens, parks and the riverside, enjoying the first sustained spell of sunshine this year - and the good news is that the warm weather is set to continue.

Tomorrow (Tuesday, April 7) it will be clear with sunny intervals and highs of 17C at about 4pm, while on Wednesday (April 8) it is predicted to be dry and sunny all day with temperatures ranging from 12C to 16C.

On Thursday the mercury will hit 17C again on another beautiful Spring day and on Friday the wind will pick up significantly but temperatures will rise to 18C.

The weekend however will not be as bright with cloud, scattered showers and colder conditions of just 8C to 10C predicted.
