LEDBURY has been blighted with yet another burglary, only weeks after police confirmed professionals are behind the recent spate of break-ins in the area.

The most recent case happened in Horse Lane Orchard, between 7pm and 9.30pm on Thursday, January 29.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed someone walking in that area of Ledbury, or saw any suspicious or unfamiliar vehicles at that time.

The force is also reiterating how important home security is after the town, along with Colwall, has been victim to 20 linked raids since September.

Police believe the cases have been carried out by travelling professional burglars who check out properties two to three times before striking, as reported by the Ledbury Reporter earlier this month.

Residents have been urged to leave lights on in the house when going out in the evening, as well as televisions or radios to give the appearance that someone is home.

Police are also urging residents to fit security lights with the sensors out of arm's reach, and install burglar alarms.

If anyone has information into any of the break-ins, call West Mercia Police on 101 and ask for Detective Constable 3312 Laurence JAMES of the Proactive CID at Hereford, or leave a message for his attention.
