THREE Worcester Warriors stars visited St Richard’s Hospice to wish patients, volunteers and staff a Merry Christmas.
Players Niall Annett, Sam Betty and Josh Drauniniu visited the Worcester hospice and chatted with patients attending the day hospice and those in the in-patient unit.
June Patel, care director at St Richard’s Hospice, said: “We were delighted to welcome these three caring young players.
“They brought Christmas cheer and plenty of smiles to the patients, visitors and staff they spent time talking to.
“Christmas is a special time of year for our patients and their loved ones and everyone really appreciated the visit.”
St Richard’s Hospice provides free specialist palliative care for patients living with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses and supports their families.
Each year the hospice team helps more than 2,500 patients and family members in Worcestershire.
Patients are cared for in the day hospice, the 17-bed in-patient unit or in their own homes by a specialist professional team as well as many trained volunteers.
