TEMPERATURES are set to plummet in Worcestershire this week.

Met Office experts have predicted conditions of just 1C at 9pm on Monday during a foggy evening and by 3am the thermometer will have hit 0C.

Tuesday could therefore provide a frosty start and people across the county are likely to be reaching for their hats, gloves and scarves.

Outdoor conditions will feel like -1C at 6am on Tuesday so any early-risers will experience a sub-zero snap.

Temperatures will remain between a chilly 2C and 5C throughout the day but a milder night at 6C is forecast.

The good news is that Wednesday and Thursday will be warmer with steadier temperatures of between 5C and 8C, and the week is likely to be mostly dry.

Drizzle is forecast for Tuesday morning and heavy showers will arrive on Tuesday night, but otherwise conditions of sunny intervals with cloudy patches will prevail.
