A DIFFERENCE of opinion has arisen among councillors as to whether or not the town council should give away free bags for dog waste.
The town council spends around £500 a year on the bags, which are gives out in batches of fifty to any dog owner that asks for them.
Cllr Tony Bradford said, at a meeting last week in the Market House: "If you can't afford dog bags, you should not have a dog."
But Cllr Allen Conway, in response said: "As a tax payer, I'm happy to pay for dog bags to keep the town clean."
