YOUNG fans of all things feline will have the opportunity to make clay kitties and alley cats when Eastnor Pottery holds its latest half-term workshops for children.
Inspired by National Cat Day, coming up on October 29, potter Jon Williams has chosen the catty theme for his latest creative session.
Youngsters will have the chance to take a turn on the potter's wheel to create a clay basket, which they can then fill with models of their favourite cats.
“The children’s work will look pretty amazing when it’s been freshly made from the chocolate coloured clay, but once it’s been through the kiln, it’s transformed into terrific terracotta,” said Mr Williams. “Children and parents love the effect when they come and collect their models a month later.”
The children's sessions are on Tuesday, October 28, for ages nine-12, and the following day for the four-to-eight-year- olds.
