EASTNOR blacksmith, Andrew Findlay had a busy and intricate summer when he was asked to make a pair of "runner bean gates" for a garden in Hampshire.
Mr Findlay, who completed the unusual commission "with a lot of design input from the client", believes the gates have led him towards areas of fresh inspiration.
He said: "I've found that vegetable plants can be just as beautiful as a floral display and I intend to use this more in my work. Pumpkins, for instance are very inspiring!"
The Forge has also been asked to design and make some prototype outdoor dining and lounge chairs for the Ritz-Carlton, at Langkawi in Malaysia.
"An interesting challenge," said Mr Findlay.
He added: "More exciting things are ahead, -we are exhibiting at Grand Designs Live, at The NEC in Birmingham, from Thursday October 9 until Sunday Oct 12."
