CHILDREN affected by domestic abuse will get extra support in Ledbury and across the county this autumn.
A scheme called "Operation Encompass" will be rolled out on November 1, and it will involve local schools, West Mercia Police and the Family Connect Service.
The project will support children who have been affected by domestic abuse when Police have attended an incident at a family home.
Each school in the county will have a designated member of staff to support children so affected.
At Ledbury Primary, the designated person is the headteacher, Mrs Julie Rees.
