THE Ledbury Library Development Group has already started fund-raising, in advance of the library moving into the Master's House in the New Year.
Group chairman, Nina Shields said: "We now meet regularly with members of the combined library and customer services team. It gives us the opportunity to find out which resources are in short supply for the library, and that's how we determine our next target for fund-raising."
She added: "We have already raised £300 for children's books and received a donation to cover our pledge of £200 towards the project to digitise the historic records of local newspapers."
The group is also attempting to raise £300 for new audio books and £750 for a 'quick pick' shelf unit.
The present library is the Elizabeth Barrett Browning Institute, which could be the new home for Ledbury Town Council after the books move to the Master's House.
