LEDBURY Catholic Church will celebrate its 60th anniversary with a Diamond Jubilee Bazaar on Saturday, November 24, from 10am to 2pm, in St Katherine’s Hall.

Una Morgan, event organiser, said: “The first post-war bazaar was held on December 6, 1952 in the Market House when 200 people attended and raised £102 for church funds.

“This was more than £2,000 in today’s values.”

This year’s bazaar will keep to the tradition of turkey sandwiches, homemade cakes and produce and handmade crafts, as well as gifts and secondhand toys.

There will also be a raffle and grand draw with cash prizes, as well as an appearance from Father Christmas.
