HEREFORD boxer Lee Jenkins has been airlifted to hospital after a climbing accident in Symonds Yat.
The 23-year-old, who has been named locally, fell around 25 metres from the top of a rock face yesterday afternoon (Friday).
Emergency crews were scrambled to the scene at around 2.45pm and Lee, a student, was later rushed to Hereford County Hospital.
He is believed to have been climbing with friends when the accident happened.
Lee is a talented amateur boxer and shone earlier this month for an England Select against Wales Select at Hereford Sixth Form College.
