Wye Valley NHS trust wins performance award

WYE Valley NHS Trust took a top award this week, once again being named among the CHKS 40Top Hospitals 2012 The award from healthcare intelligence and improvement specialist CHKS is based on the evaluation of 23 key performance indicators covering safety, clinical effectiveness, health outcomes, efficiency, patient experience and quality of care.
CHKS announced the winners of its Top Hospitals programme awards at a ceremony in London. The 40Top Hospitals award is one of several accolades that are part of the awards programme.
Lynn Betts, head of quality and safety at Wye Valley NHS Trust, said: “We are very pleased to receive this award, which is given for good performance across a range of important patient safety indicators.
“The trust has received this award several years running and it is fantastic that we have it again. The trust would like to give thanks and credit to all its staff who are dedicated to providing a quality of care we would want for ourselves, our families and friends.”
