A TEAM of Herefordshire nurses has picked up an award for inspirational work with students.
Kington and Weobley District Nursing team won an outstanding practice learning environment award at the University of Worcester’s annual mentor awards.
The nurses, based at Kington Surgery, mentor student nurses currently studying at the university and were praised for their effective teaching and learning strategies.
Elizabeth Davies-Ward, chairman of the Mentor Awards committee, said: “The awards help recognise and celebrate the hard work of these nurses who make an outstanding contribution to the student practice learning experience by building successful mentoring relationships with students from the university.”
Marion Stevenson and Julie Sargeant from Wye Valley NHS Trust also picked up awards.
