ELDERLY people in the county are being assured that they can still have their toe nails cut.
Age Concern branches in Leominster, Ledbury and Hereford will still operate the service, despite no further external funding being made available.
Many older people rely on the charity’s help to relieve the discomfort of overgrown toenails when they can no longer cut them properly, either because of failing sight, lack of mobility or arthritic hands.
Cuts are charged at £10 and new clients need to make a one-off purchase of their own footcare kit for the first appointment.
