A LEOMINSTER Bowen practitioner offered her “healing hands” to support a national charity last week.
Jacky Clarke, from Leominster Osteopaths, helped a group of riders including Hope for Justice chief executive Ben Cooley and Emmerdale actor Tom Lister on day 18 of their 20-day challenge cycling 2,700km from Latvia to Southampton.
The challenge was to raise awareness of victims that have been trafficked into the UK or within the UK against their will, and to raise funds for a new regional investigative hub to help more victims in the UK.
Jacky said: “When I heard about the challenge I offered my help to the team as the Bowen technique is a powerful form of body work which helps to heal.
“It was a pleasure to treat some of the cyclists towards the end of this gruelling challenge, with this effective gentle therapy of the Bowen technique.
“They were tired with aching muscles and the strain was beginning to show so it was a welcome relief for them."
The route taken, from Riga to Southampton was that of Zoe – one of the first victims to be rescued by the charity.
