Wigmore

WIZARDRY IN WIGMORE - Wizardry in Wigmore and Festival of Flowers will be held from tomorrow (Friday) until Sunday when Wigmore village will become a hive of activity. Starting at 7pm tomorrow evening with a Wizard’s Mediterranean bistro at Teme Valley Youth Project, 7.30pm sees the start of a concert at St James’ Church. A batty adventure around Wigmore will start when it is nearly dusk. On Saturday, there will be an exhibition of local clubs and business in the village hall starting at 10am and the doors open at the church from 10.30am-4pm to view the flowers. At noon, the art entries will be received at the Leisure Centre for display.

The Wizard’s fete takes place on the school playing fields from 12.30pm with the Rhythm Thieves playing live music. The hog roast will be available from 2pm. There are many side shows as well as lots of entertainment. At 7.30pm, enjoy the big band supper dance in the church or a disco in the village hall for years eight and nine only. On Sunday at 10am, there are guided cycle rides and at 10.30am, an historic village walk. Evensong will take place at 6pm with the Bishop of Hereford.
