MONEY RAISED – The coffee morning on July 3, by kind permission of Gill Jonas, raised an astonishing £2,091 out of a target of £5,000 to help fund a gynaecological ‘camp’ in the most needy and remote areas of Nepal. Dr Shirley Haywood, who works for the International Nepal Fellowship (inf.org), will take the money back with her after her leave, which she has spent fundraising for the project. PROGRAMME OF ACTIVITIES – Weobley Extended Services programme of activities for the summer holidays. For free activities, priority will be given to pupils attending the Weobley catchment schools – Weobley High School, Canon Pyon, Credenhill, Dilwyn, Staunton and Weobley primaries, surplus places to those living in the area.
FREE 10 DAY SPORTS SCHOOL – In the Wydenbach Sports Hall at Weobley High School, Monday to Friday, July 20-24 and July 27-31, 10am-4pm for pupils aged nine-16.
