NEPAL AID-The at home coffee morning on July 3rd, by kind permission of Gill Jonas, raised an astonishing £2,091.86 out of a target of £5,000.00 to help fund a gynaecological ‘camp’ in the most needy and remote area of Nepal. Dr Shirley Haywood, who works for the International Nepal Fellowship (www.inf.org), will take the money back with her after her leave, which she has spent fund-raising for the project. Every penny raised will go directly to provide surgery and medical help for women who have no other source of skilled help.
