EXHIBITION – Richard Bavin, a Wellington artist, is exhibiting paintings and drawings of Wellington Wood at the Apple Store Gallery in Brockhampton (near Fownhope) until Sunday (open daily 10.30am to 5.30pm).

PLOUGHING MATCH/SHEEP DOG TRIAL – The Weobley and District Agricultural Improvement Society will be holding its ploughing match and domestic section on Saturday, September 27. This event held its 100th match last year and again this year, the domestic section will involve cookery, wine, jams, eggs, vegetables, fruit and flower arranging and crafts etc.

The children’s section has four classes, painting, cooking etc. There is also a sheep dog trial at this all-day event, which is held at Brobury Farm, Bredwardine, by kind permission of Mr and Mrs Blandford and family.
