UK OLDER PEOPLE’S DAY – October 1 is UK Older People’s Day and Herefordshire Council is holding a series of informal coffee mornings around the county to advertise the services it offers and to meet the people who use them. The Stoke Lacy event will be held next Wednesday from 10am to noon and free refreshments will be provided. Anyone wishing to find out more about the services on offer to older people is invited to come along. More information available on 01432 261528.
HARVEST SUPPER – The Stoke Lacy harvest supper and auction will be held in the village hall at 7.30pm on Friday, October 3, immediately following the harvest church service. Advance tickets, at £3.50, are available from 01885 490286 or 490231 or can be purchased on the door. BYOB.
