PLANS APPROVED – Plans for the siting of the three lodges for holiday use together with car parking and a sewage treatment plant at Bellwood, Shobdon, were approved by members of the northern area planning sub-committee at their meeting on Wednesday, July 30. The approval is subject to conditions being agreed on landscaping, enhancement of ecological habitats and improvements to the site access.
A site visit was held on July 15. The lodges, aimed at walkers and visitors to Herefordshire, will be capable of sleeping up to six people.
The site is just to the south of Shobdon Wood and close to the Mortimer Trail and Shobdon Loop Walk, both popular with walkers.
