FUN DAY – The Norton Show and Fun Day will take place on August 15, at Home Farm, from noon, and the horse show from 1pm. There will be a dog show, vintage displays, birds of prey displays, car boot sale, side stalls, children’s football competitions, plus much more. Then, in the evening, at Norton Manor, there will be live entertainment and a barbecue starting at 7pm. The cost will be £2, with children free. For more details, call 01544 260697 or 07896 753208. CLASSICS OF YESTERYEAR – The annual classics of yesteryear show will take place on Sunday from 2-6pm at The Arkwright Hall in Kinsham. There will be classic cars, commercial vehicles, buses, tractors, motor cycles and stationary engines on show. There will also be free entry to exhibitors. There will also be refreshments, side stalls, barbecue and much more. Admission is £2 for adults and £1 for under-14s.

LUNCHEON CLUB – Do you want to meet new people over lunch? You are welcome to join the Baptist church luncheon club every Thursday, from noon- 2pm. For details about the two-course lunch followed by coffee, call 01544 267785.
ENTERTAINMENT – “Frizztastic” Fizz will be the entertainment at East Radnor Leisure Centre next Wednesday, at 2pm. Then on August 11, from 3-4pm, there is an animal man show. It will be your chance to get up close to some exotic animals and reptiles such as snakes, frogs, spiders and scorpions plus others. For further details, call the leisure centre on 01544 260302.
QUIZ – The Fforest Inn at Llanfiangel Nant Melon is holding a pub quiz on August 12, at 7.30pm. Teams of up to six will cost £2 per person. To enter a team, call 01544 350526.
FUN RIDE – There is a fun ride on August 23, starting at 10am, with the last rider leaving at 1pm. The ride is a 11-mile spectacular on Litton Hill and through the Radnor Forest. The start will be from The Rectory in Cascob.
Adults will cost £12, with children costing £6. All children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

MUSIC FESTIVAL – This year’s annual Presteigne Festival of Music and Arts will take place from August 27 until September 1. It promises to be a feast of great music, dazzling premieres and inspired musicians taking in the countryside in the cultural capital of the Welsh Borders. There will be an incredible 24 events over the six days with many events already close to being sold out.
