VILLAGERS have celebrated the opening of a newly transformed conservation area. Land close to the River Arrow in Pembridge has been changed into a wet woodland with native trees and shrubs planted.
There are also userfriendly boardwalks, a pathway with viewing points and information boards describing flora and fauna.
It has been largely funded by the Kingspan Insulation Community Trust with money also coming from Herefordshire Council.
Work was carried out by six volunteers from the village, with pupils from Pembridge Primary School also helping. It will be maintained by volunteers with the parish council paying the annual maintenance bill.
