COACH TRIP – Norton Cameo is running a trip to Aberystwyth (subject to sufficent numbers) on Tuesday, August 19. The cost is £7 for Cameo members and £8 for non-members. Please book early by calling 01547 550296.

ROD STEWART – The Rod Stewart Experience will be the entertainment at a cabaret evening at Presteigne Memorial Hall on Friday, August 29, at 7pm for 7.30pm start. Admission is by ticket only and costs £21 which will include a two-course meal. Tickets must be purchased in advance from Alan on 260485 or Dot on 267806.

COUNTRY AND WESTERN – There is a Country and Western featuring Carl Jennings at The Royal British Legion Club on Saturday from 8pm. Admission is £4 on the door. All are welcome.

RHYL – The Royal British Legion is running its annual coach trip to Rhyl on Bank Holiday Monday, August 25. The bus will leave at 8.30am and will cost £5 for Legion members and £6 for non-members. To book, pop into the club or ring John Crowe on 260317.

LIVE MUSIC – The band Floyd Earl will be playing live in The Royal Oak on Saturday, August 16, from 8pm. Admission is free and everyone is welcome. Future music nights are on Sunday, August 24 (Fight the Bear) and Saturday, August 30 (Feel the Need).

TEA AND A CHAT – You are welcome to have a cup of tea and chat at The Methodist Church every Monday from 2.30pm to 4pm. There is no charge and everyone is most welcome.

ALLOTMENT – Are you interested in having an allotment or do you have any land to spare? If so, then call in to The Rowan Tree Shop in the High Street, or call 260292 for more information.

ARTS AND CRAFT FAIR – The monthly craft fair features local artisan wares and craft materials with linked talks, exhibitions and demonstrations. It takes place on the first Saturday of the month at The Assembly Rooms.
