SUNDAY LUNCH – A Sunday lunch in aid of Much Cowarne Church will be held at Foxwhelp, Much Cowarne, from 12.30pm on Sunday, July 13. Tickets cost £11 each or half price for under-11s. Bookings can be made via Ted and Jean Parkes on 01432 820402.
SUMMER FUN DAY – Burley Gate School will hold a summer fun day tomorrow (Friday) from 5.45 pm. The theme will be American sports and Independence Day, and games will include a rodeo competition, horse shoe tossing and basketball. The evening will also see the dedication of a window in memory of the late school governor Terisia Davies.
