SPRING FAIR AND COFFEE MORNING - This will be held at St Peter’s Church on Saturday, from 10am to noon. There will be various stalls including a plant stall, cakes and produce, books, bric-a-brac etc, as well as the opportunity to chat to friends old and new. Proceeds in aid of church funds. CHALLENGE QUIZ - The fifth Lyde challenge quiz, conducted by Rev Jimmy Morrison, was held on April 12. There were about 15 teams competing for the trophy. Lyde was victorious, with the winning team consisting of Mr and Mrs Bob Calver and Mr and Mrs Tony Prime. The evening raised £411 towards church expenses.
