The grounds of 16 acres provided something of inspiration for everyone; lawns sweeping down to the river, woodland walks, a lake, beautifully maintained herbaceous borders, rose beds, sculptures and a well-stocked, walled kitchen garden. Next month an evening visit to a garden in Moreton-on-Lugg and one in Marden is planned. No meeting in August but the autumn show is on September 5, followed by Brian Draper’s talk on where to watch wildlife along the River Severn on Tuesday, September 8.
