FLOWER SHOW – This weekend sees the very popular summer flower show at Llangrove Village Hall. The last three years have seen a steadily increasing number of entries, mainly from people who have not had a go before, have come along, enjoyed the experience and got hooked. It is a fun thing to be involved in and although competitive it is very good humoured and easy to take part in. If you have a good crop of tomatoes, or a few potatoes to be proud of, have a collection of gladioli, dahlias or roses that you admire or you can put together a fine display of flowers, cook up a mean chutney or pot of jam or take a photo of a fine bird – this is the show for you. We have a lot of stewards ready to help you out and show you how and what to do. And if/when you are successful we have a first class collection of trophies for you to take home and display to your admiring and envious friends. If you want to have a go, entry forms are available from Tower Stores, Whitchurch, from Bill Webb on 01989 770555 or on the day, before 10.45am.
