PRIMARY SCHOOL FETE – Madley Primary School summer fete will be at the school on Saturday, July 12, at noon. There will be all the traditional games and events, as well as owls from the rescue centre and a raffle with great days out for the summer.

HISTORICAL SOCIETY – The Historical Society AGM will take place next Monday at 7.45pm in the village hall.

PRIMARY SCHOOl – There will be a promise auction in the village hall this Saturday at 6pm. A group of parents has worked extremely hard and managed to get more than 80 lots for auction on the night.

LINGEN CHURCH – A tiny Herefordshire village has set itself the task of raising £70,000, the equivalent of more than £430 for every resident.

QUIZ NIGHT – This will take place on Saturday at Much Marcle Village Hall at 7pm. Teams of four, £3 per person to include soft drinks and nibbles.

FETE – A very successful fete was held at Sufton Court on June 21, where a total of £1,240 was raised for church funds and, with the £400 raised by Checkley Clays last week, this was a fete record. The organisers would like to thank everyone for their hard work and generosity.

MUSIC IN MARSTOW – Following the success of Music in Marstow in 2007, over 250 people brought their gazebos and picnics and has a ball again this year with Intrigue and Twisted Jazz as our main attraction.
