George Linaker, Cub leader at Knighton, has been awarded a certificate from the Scout Association by Fiona Preece, Assistant District Commissioner, for 30 years of service to scouting. George started working with Scouts in Southport, Lancashire, over 30 years ago and although he has had a few small breaks over the years has always been involved with the movement.

Following the presentation, former Scout leader at Knighton, Peter Skidmore, handed over the old Knighton Cub and Scout flags to the current Cubs and Scouts and their leaders. These will be used during parades they take part in.
