Members of Knighton’s newly-formed Knit and Knatter Group entered 17 tea cosies in Knighton Show and Carnival making a total of 20 entries in the class. Members scooped the first, second, third and highly commended prizes. The judge wrote about the entries: “A quite outstanding class. Several could have won prizes.” The group has proved very popular with around 20 people attending, many who have just taken up knitting. The group meets at First4yarns in Station Road, Knighton, Monday nights from 6pm to 9pm, coffee and biscuits included, and Thursday mornings from 10am to 1pm, coffee and cakes included.
