PRIMARY SCHOOL - Visiting community police officers provided the children with the thrilling opportunity to sit in a police car and operate the flashing lights and sirens. A member of the charity Send a Cow showed the pupils how to set up a ‘bag garden’, explaining how important this type of garden is to families in Africa. Bag gardens will now be planted at the school. The open afternoon was very well attended. Plenty of activities were arranged for younger visitors, leaving the adults free to see work in progress in the classrooms.
PTFA - Those who are usually pampering their families enjoyed being pampered for a change on Thursday, April 17. Sessions for a variety of relaxing therapies were on offer and were all fully booked. The next event is a curry night on Saturday.
