Gladestry

WALK & DUCK RACE – On Saturday, Gladestry Village Hall is the meeting point for the annual walk and duck race. This year’s walk is from Newchurch to Gladestry, meeting in the hall car park at 2pm. The duck race starts at 4.30pm and will be followed by refreshments in the village hall. Proceeds to go to redecorating the village hall.

New in Hereford: Gipsy Fantasy Belly Dance Classes

Ladies, no previous experience required. Women all shapes and sizes, over the age of 16, are welcome to get in shape and learn a mix of dance movements, incorporating Turkish Folk, Eastern European Folk, Tribal-style Belly Dance and Flamingo styles. Garway

FUN DAY AND DOG SHOW – This will take place on Saturday, August 23, on Garway Common at 1pm. There will be produce tents, stalls, refreshments, competitions, a barbecue, children’s sport and many other attractions. Proceeds will go to Garway Village Hall funds. Goodrich

MUSIC – On the weekend of July 4 to 6, Goodrich Village Hall rocked to an amazing Friday session featuring the Dandelion Killers playing their first gig in their home village. Accolades are also due to the Mirror Kissers, one of the youngest bands in the area, but one of the most innovative and creative. Check them out. The evening began with the infectious and compelling sounds of Oi Napoleon and the result was a truly vibrant session of the best of local talent.

SUMMER BARBECUE – The Friends of Hope-under-Dinmore Village Hall are holding a summer barbecue at the village hall on Saturday, June 14, from 6.30pm. Tickets cost £5 from Jan Collins on 01568 797748.
