Eardisley

PARISH COUNCIL - The council is to purchase speed indicators for Eardisley, Whitney and Winforton. There has been such a device near the fire station as a temporary measure and it is possible that one could be situated at the other end of the village. The council also decided to organise a combined community information website for the three parishes. Herefordshire Council has decided to keep the freighter lorry service at the subsidised rate so the council decided to book it for September and October.

CAP - Eardisley CAP has 101 members, each paying £20, which enables them to participate in the wide range of facilities it provides. The group has purchased new equipment to increase the audio-visual quality of productions. It has made a variety of short films which have embraced local scenes and activities, and has given advice regarding the purchase and installation of IT equipment, to name just a few of its projects.

Among these have been the afternoon and evening film shows which have proved to be very popular. This series will resume in September. New members will be very welcome to join this very successful enterprise.

TEA AND CHAT - A friendly social occasion at the Methodist Chapel on Thursday, July 30, at 2.30pm.
